Cultural Center Gromov is a multi-purpose art space on the right bank of the River Neva in the Malaya Okhta district of St. Petersburg. It was opened in September 2016.
CC Gromov was conceived as a multi-purpose venue for concerts, exhibitions, theater productions, seminars, round-table discussions, meet-the-artist sessions, business meetings and other events. The two-level exhibition space, the stage and auditorium with a seating capacity of 150 are suitable for any kind of chamber events.
At CC Gromov, visitors come face to face with art that is talented, bright, surprising, bold and original. While we cherish tradition, we challenge stereotypes and narrow-mindedness. We welcome both “proven” artistic experiment and creative endeavour of young artists. CC Gromov gives stage to renowned maestros and those whose names are not yet familiar to the general public, but certainly worthy of attention.
At CC Gromov, we believe in being open to all genres and forms of art. We strive to promote collaboration between different artistic communities. In our art space, musicians team up with writers, actors with designers, and painters with architects. Here, creative workers have an opportunity to meet business practitioners, scientists and people from various professions and socialise in an atmosphere of openness and mutual interest.
The historical centre of St. Petersburg has long become a huge cultural space. Our ambition is to lead modern art ‘across the bridge’. CC Gromov aims to expand the reach of art across the city not only geographically, but also in terms of creativity, by exploring new dimensions of modern culture and creative effort.
“CC Gromov is a kind of open club. Within our art space, we bring together a diverse community of those who enjoy each other’s company, have an inquiring mind and are open to new experiences. We strongly believe in the transformative power of creativity, wherever it comes from and whatever it is inspired by.”
Dmitry Milkov, Art Director, CC Gromov
